Re: cairo/Gtk X compile problem.

Try compiling X and including the cairo headers by typing the directory
containing cairo's header files in the configure script ie

X.

The file Xftfreetype must also be located in the Xft directory so that Gtk
can find it during compilation.

  Hi Thanks for your reply,
I already cross compiled XFree86-4.6. and i installed it in my PREFIX direcory.
It contains  ./include ,lib,bin directory.
In include dir it contains       DPS,expat.h,fontconfig.freetype2.GL,X11,zconf.h,zlib.h.
In lib it contains all libraries as mentioned in my previous mail.
But i really don't know why my cairo is not taking the libs though they are available in the specified Location.

For Ex as in the previous mail one of the error is

opt/freescale/usr/local/gcc-4.1.1-glibc-2.4-nptl-2/arm-none-linux-gnueabi/lib
/gcc/arm-none-linux-gnueabi/4.1.1/../../../../arm-none-linux-gnueabi/bin/ld: warning: libXext.so.6, needed by ../src/.libs/libcairo.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

But libXext.so.6 avaialable in the above location.

Why i again need to cross compile my XFree86-4.6.

As u mentioned "Xftfreetype" should be there in X11 but it is not there?
What is the use of it?Is it necessary.

Thanks once again.

Regards,
Harsha
