Please describe the problem:
I have compiled and installed glib, cairo, atk, and pango (prefix=/usr) on
Mandriva 2006 community edition. When I try to configure gtk+2.8.9, I get the
following error:
checking Pango flags... -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0
-I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/cairo -L/usr/X11R6/lib
-lpangocairo-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lcairo -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl
-lglib-2.0
-lfreetype -lfontconfig -lXrender -lX11 -lXext -lpng12 -lz -lm
configure: error:
*** Can't link to Pango. Pango is required to build
*** GTK+. For more information see http://www.pango.org
I have the directory /usr/include/pango-1.0/ that includes the subdirectory pango which includes all the header files.
I configure and compile all of it as a normal user and then install as root.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you in advance.
