glib-1.2.10 cache file variables

Hello All.
I'm trying to xcompile glib-1.2.10. It is not working because I need to supply a config.cache file
to answer questions for configure. The INSTALL file for glib-1.2.10 does not list cache file variables.
Does anyone know where to find these?
