This GNOME Goal

suggests the use of
gtk_window_set_default_icon_name()
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gtk/GtkWindow.html#gtk-window-set-default-icon-name
instead of just
gtk_window_set_icon_name()

But wouldn't that set the default icon to be used for other running
applications, with which I probably shouldn't be interfering?
