Hi,
download glib-1.2.10-i386-2.tgz and gtk+-1.2.10-i386-3.tgz from a
slackware mirror ('l' group, they are libraries) and install with
installpkg, they can nicely coexist with glib2 and gtk+2.
To know in which package a particular file is check
