printing text in area by calling a function

Hi friends ,

             Please give a solution for printing a text in text area .The 
important thing here is when i give a text in a function printtext("hello"); 
 it should print the word "hello" in the text area . The function printtext 
can be called any where in my project .

             Please give a solution for this .
