After compiled and installed gtk+-2.6.7, I want to test it using gtk-demo, but when I run it, it told me:
-----------------------------------------------------------
No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig
library is not correctly configured. You may need to
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information
about fontconfig can be found in the fontconfig(3) manual
page and on http://fontconfig.org
-----------------------------------------------------------
fontconfig 2.3.1 and gtk+-2.6.7 are all installed into "/usr/local". And I have checked that the fonts seem to lie in "/usr/local/etc/fonts/".
In this circumstance, what shall I do?
(Btw, to run gtk-demo, I also have to type the full path "/usr/local/bin/gtk-demo", although "/usr/local/bin" is in my PATH now. any hints?)
thanks,
Regards,
Xu Qiang
