missing buttons in filedialog (from glade) under windows

Google was mute about subject.

I have a filechosserdialog created from glade xml, and it works fine in
linux but in windows the cancel/open buttons are missing and double
clicking a file doesn't produce a GTK_RESPONSE. a quick work around is
to create the filechooser with gtk_file_chooser_new but it would be nice
if it worked from glade.

Does anyone else have this problem or know what can be done?

I'm using GTK+ 2.6.4-rc3 for windows.
