Linux disto specific to GTK version ?

    I have a favorite version of Gimp, with several add-on
applications... these call SPECIFICALLY for  Gtk-1.2.8
 ...my question is, how can I locate a distribution of
a distribution... for instance, SuSE or RedHat, etc...
which includes Gtk-1.2.8 by default ?

    Im figuring, if anybody knows who is using it, the
GTK developers would ?
