Thanks, Owen. I should be able to put off the actual scalable graphics
part of my project for a few months, so I'll steer clear of it for that
period. I guess when I do get stuck in, my strategy will be to experiment
with GnomeCanvas and DiaCanvas for a short period before determining
whether Cairo (provided by GtkCairo) is in a stable enough state for me to
play directly with it.
