Problem with GTK+ 2.0.3

Hi buddies,
I've got a little problem with the configure script of GTK+ 2.0.3 which
say that it can't link to pango:
checking for pango_context_new in -lpango-1.0... no
configure: error:
*** Can't link to Pango. Pango is required to build GTK+.
The problem is that i have pango installed... what can i do to solve
that ? :) Thanks !
