GLIB install problem

Hello, there,

  I have some errors to install GLIB in cygwin in winxp:

make[2]: ***[gstrfuncs.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/cygdrive/g/my_software/glib-1.2.10'
make[1]: ***[all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/cygdrive/g/my_software/glib-1.2.10'
make: ***[all-recursive-am] Error 2

Any one knows what happen to me? Since I am a newcomer about linux and have no idea about this. Does not GLIB work under cygwin and must install in linux???
