ls /usr/lib:

  ...

  /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so
  /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
  /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.400.2
  /usr/lib/libgtk.a
  /usr/lib/libgtk.la
  /usr/lib/libgtk.so
  ...

If you don't have them, try reinstalling.
