[I apologize for the somewhat spammish nature of this email, but wasn't
sure how many people on this list knew about this tutorial.]
At this year's GUADEC in Ireland, Owen Taylor will be giving a tutorial
on GTK+. It's a great opportunity to learn how to use GTK+ directly
from the head of the GTK+ team. The tutorial is on Wednesday, June 18th
2003, and costs 150 Euros. Proceeds from the tutorial go to the GNOME
Foundation, and is used to subsidize the cost of flying hackers to the
conference.
Topics covered at the tutorial include:
* The basics of the GObject system: inheritance, signals, and
properties.
* The principles of GTK+ window management
* Laying out a GUI using Glade
* How to organize a GTK+ program
* Creating lists displays using GtkTreeView

-Jonathan
