About drawing area.

Hi All!

I have a problem...
I´m trying to write a simple program, wich a widget shows a
black´s drawing area with a little rectangle in it.
i don´t understand how GTK hands a canvas´s widget and a GdkGC.
If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know.

Waiting for a sooner solution.
