Hii all.
I am new to this list.
I am compiling the GTK+ from the source. The version I am using is 2.0.6. Previously i went through the latest versions, but it needs the latest, xft, glib etc.. There also I got a problem of
'relocation error'. so, I thought to use the same version of GTK installed in Redhat 8.0.
After that, while i start 'gedit' or 'gnome-session' anything, i got the following error. What i have to
do to make the compilation successfully ?
The program 'gedit' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length erro'.
(Details: serial 46 error_code 16 request_code 154 minor_code 20)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Or can anyone tell me, with 'which version of which', I can successfully compile the Pango and GTK from source?
Thanking you,
with regards
Vivek.
