why no FLT_RADIX, DBL_MAX_EXP, etc. in glib?

I'm curiou why these aren't in glib?  I guess if a thing is not ig glib
you can assume its portable enough that it doesn't need to be there?
Also, why no macros for swapping byte order of gfloats and gdoubles?  And
finally, why no strlen?
