GTKClist selet-row by Key-Press

Hey guy's. I've got aome questions about the GTKClist. I need to select the rows of a clist with a key one the keyboard. For Example if i press Key "1" i want to select the row where the focus is. I hope you can follow my thoughts. I tried it with an accelerator signal, but it doesen't work. Got anybody an idea to solve the Problem?
