How to make a widget key binding ?

I would like to bind some keys combination (e.g. <Control-y>) to a widget
(e.g. GtkTextView) to make some operation (e.g. erase a text line).
I think I should use "GtkBinding" but I haven't found any
information/example about.

Is there anyone who can show me a short example/link to documentation about
key binding in Gtk 2 ?
