Problem with Glib 2.0.6 on redhat 7.3

Hi,

I have a problem with glib 2.0.6. After compiling the glib 2.0.6 source
and doing a make install there are not problems.

Once I try to compile gtk+ the ./configure returns the following error.
The pkg-config program returned version 2.0.6 of Glib but found 2.0.1

How do I completely remove 2.0.1 of glib from my redhat 7.3 system.
