gtk menu

Hi all,

There are many motherds to create a menu. Such as:
1). gtk_menu_new(), ...
2). gnome-app_fill_menu(), ...
3). gtk_item_factory_create_items(), etc.
What's the deference between them ? Which is the
best one ? Is GtkItemFactory out of date ?
