Problem building Pango

I had to reinstall my system and now I cannot build Pango: I receive the error 
message

  aclocal: configure.in: 262: macro `AM_PATH_GLIB_2_0' not found in library
  make: *** [aclocal.m4] Error 1

What can I do?
