Thanks, that was the lead I needed.
So, if you were deriving a type from GTK_TYPE_BOXED
in gtk+-1.2, with the requisite GtkTypeInfo structure
and gtk_type_unique call, for gtk-2.0 you just call
newtype = g_boxed_type_register_static( name, copy_func, free_func );
and you're all set, no need to fill in a GTypeInfo structure.
