Hi,
While waiting for a response to my post regarding getting a
gtk-based app to run on windows, I decided to experiment, and
I found what I "believe" is the correct glib.dll. I actually
see a GTK+ window with the Hello World button! But I had
to duplicate the glib.dll as glib-0.dll, and when I compiled
and ran the "gtkdialtest" app, I do not see the tick marks
drawn :(
Note that I copied the "other" required DLLs from my CYGWIN
tree (libXext, libX11, iconv-2, etc.)
Q1: Is there anything I can do eliminate the duplication of
DLLs? I'm ignorant of the issue here.
Q2: Is it normal to get a "MS-DOS type" blank window along with
the GTK+ based app's window? It's OK (a nit), but I'm not
sure if it is an indication of something else that I've done
wrong.
By the way, I'm so happy that I was able to see a GTK+ window! I
now know this is actually possible, which I consider "unreal".
