Event Source.

Hello,

I've been trying to figure out what an event source is.  In particular,
I'm trying to figure out what 'g_source_add()' and 'g_source_remove()'
do.

What are these functions used for?  I mean, yes I know that g_source_add()
will add a source, but what is a source and what is it good for?
