gnome::FileEntry

I'm trying to use a GnomeFileEntry widget in a perl/gtk+ program.  In the 
GnomeFileEntry widget, what is the $history_id? I've tried using some random 
strings, and when i do that I get this error:
unable to convert GtkObject 0x821b8f0 of type 46869 (GnomeFileEntry) into a 
Perl/Gtk type at nesgui2.pl line 182.

any ideas?
