What's about fonts.

I managed to compile pango, atk, glib and gtk+ from cvs. When I tried to
start the gtk-demo the Program broke down with a warning about missing
fallback Sans 10 fonts.

After heavy research work I found out that there is a Variable about Pango
fonts which defines a resource file for pango fonts. But still I cannot
use freetype fonts.

How can I configure freetype font resources for pango or where can I read
about pango resource files ?
