customize Glade

Hello,

I know this is a mainly Gtk+ list, but as the Glade side seems to be down
for a long time, I try to get some info here:

Does anyone know if Glade can be custumized, so that it displays user
defined
widgets, which have nothing to do with gtk ? This should also effect the XML
output of Glade in its project file.

This means proper customization in form of some software interface, not
hacking the Glade source code.

Any idea?
