Sure, though it isn't obvious to me how to fix this - we can't break
gtk_init() I don't think, so it would have to be
g_program_set_version() or something, and people would probably never
think to call that function... I guess we can easily enough have
gnome_init() call it, so lots of apps would end up setting the
version.
