Hi all, firstly thanks for the valuable help.
I was confused by the fact that everything looked okay with my v1.2.6 install
i.e. LD_LIBRARY_PATH was set, glib-config was present and correct, but i still
got the errors. Today i downloaded version 1.2.10, installed glib, made sure
that LD_LIBRARY_PATH was set and gtk seemed to install okay.
Thanks again.
Dean.
BTW - my Solaris 8 system does not have a /sbin/ldconfig command.
