Installation of Gtk+-1.2.8 on Solaris 2.6

I'm having problems with the final installation step of Gtk. Glib-1.2.8 
installed successfully on the system, and everything seemed to compile 
when I ran 'make' for Gtk. When I switch to root and enter 'make install' 
I get the following error:

The directories are created, but the gtk+.mo isn't there... does anyone 
know how to fix this? Thanks!
