compiling gnome

I'm running helix??? on my solaris box but the includes
did'nt get installed with it even if they exist.

I got the libraries from gnome.org and began to compile so that I could
develop and got down to gnome-libs and it claims it needs db 1.85.  What
is the library name I need to get and compile ?
