CList widget background colour

Hi all,

I using style->base I can alter the colour of an individual row/column in a
clist widget. Is there a way to change the actual background colour to
something other than white? For example, when I change all my list items
background to black I can white lines separating them due to the background
white colour.

Does anyone know away around this?
