As we all Gnow, Gnome is capable of cross window manager integration.
I personally think that this is great in the way that your not stuck to
a particular WM that comes with the Task bar. As a Redhat user (or
luser:) Gnome comes stock with Enlightenment, Ive found that even on a
high performance system, the combination of the two is very slow
compared to other packages (e.g. KDE). The problem is, is that E seems
to be the best integrated with Gnome (that obviously why RH choose that
combo), and the integration with other WM's is pretty lousy at the
moment.
Ive heard a few rumors that Chainsaw will be the default wm with Gnome,
is this correct?
Are my slowness problems with Gnome and E involving integration, or is
it just that GTK is slower than QT?
