Questions about glib

I think I'd like to use glib for a project.  By chance are there any
tutorials on using the Hook functions, Relations, and dynamic modules
functions.  I'm digging through the reference manual and source code now,
but if there was an easier way to learn about their features/limitations
I'd love to pointed toward it.  TIA
