Hi,
I have figured out that Gtk-- is for me
the best choice,
thanks to all the humans wo really helped me
wish You all the best !!
after getting the sources for Gtk--
and installed them in /usr/local
"normally installed"
libgtk1 1.0.6-2 libgtk1.1 1.1.2-2 libgtk1.1.6 1.1.6-1
libgtk1.2 1.2.1-0.slink1 libgtk1.2-dev 1.2.1-0.slink1
libgtk1.2-doc 1.2.1-0.slink1 libgtkmm 0.9.15-1
libgtkmm-dev 0.9.15-1 libgtkxmhtml1 1.0.3-1
under /usr/local/lib
libgnomemm.la libgnomemm.so libgnomemm.so.5
libgnomemm.so.5.0.0
(I have a Debian 2.1 -system kernel 2.0.36)
if I use the line
CPPFLAGS="`gtkmm-config --cflags` `gnome-config --cflags` --$CPPFLAGS"
if I make the binaries I got the warning
c++: Ambiguous abbrreviation --
what does that mean ? Can i ignore this ?
or do I something wrong ?
a ordinary makefile works fine, no problems
the matter with debian is:
if i install gnome it deinstalls Gtk--
if i install Gtk-- it deinstalls gnome
so if got the sources out the: `Gtk---1.0.0.tar.gz` file
If only using Gtk, without the `gnome-config --cflags` it's ok
if I don't use the `gtkmm--config --cflags` Headers are missing.
and finally.
I have some additional question:
We like to use corba for program communication.
I've a gnome gnorba CORBA implementation
and is there a manual for this avaiable.
thanks for help.
wish You all the best
Peter
