Howto make non-standard slider?

Hey folks,

I need to make a slider that doesn't go up by normal base-10 digits,
instead more like:

7.00
7.01
...
7.09
7.10
7.11
7.12
8.00
8.01
...
and so on ... 

Is there an easy way to set this up?  I guess a slider that can go up in
value like a clock would be analagous (eg., 12:59, 1:00, etc...).
