 For what use if I may know? perhaps the canvas as tcl/tk does?
 if that is the case leaving it to the fathers of GTK would be
 the best thing :-) otherwise I could cheerfully advise to
 get a "Learning Postscript" book, I was doing some Postscript
 programming for my own programs some years ago and it was fun!
