gtk + wacom

Hi

  I'm hoping I'm not the only one in the world who's trying to get a
wacom tablet working with gtk applications such as gsumi and gimp.

  I have core and non-core devices set up for the tablet and they work
fine, sending correct X events.

  gtk was configured --with-xinput=xfree, which is what I'm using.
It fails to see the devices.  I've tried everything I can think of,
but can't get any gtk app to recognize more than just the mouse
pointer.

  Can anyone help me?
