Imlib weirdness

[David Given <dg tao-group com>]

When I try to run a GTK program on my monochrome monitor, I get:

GImLib ERROR: Cannot find palette file /usr/etc/im_palette.pal
gdk_imlib: Cannot Find Palette. A Palette is required for this mode

What is this file, and what is the format?
