As an aside, Guppi will do this http://www.gnome.org/guppi/ so perhaps you
want to work on that project instead.

Read the Gtk tutorial on www.gtk.org, in particular the "scribble"
chapter. If you're using Gnome also check out the GnomeCanvas (which is
undocumented, but there is lots of sampel code in Gnome CVS).

Havoc
