Isn't your low-level C++ wrapper of Gtk just a huge duplication
of the effort that Gtk-- has been trying to achieve?  (And
replicates all to the problems like scope of Gtk+ object and
C++ object not being the same.)   

(Generation of interfaces from XML is good, but why not
use tools that have had considerable work done on them rather
than building your own?)
