GTk+ 1.1.13: (x)gettext, configure and FreeBSD

Hi,

a problem with configure (which still remains the same ever since 1.1.9):

[...]

checking whether NLS is requested... yes
checking for libintl.h... no
checking whether catgets can be used... no
--omit-header: not found
found xgettext program is not GNU xgettext; ignore it
checking for gettext... no
checking for gettext in -lintl... no

[...]

more details:

[root@daemon] (19) # gettext --version
gettext (GNU gettext) 0.10.35

[root@daemon] (20) # xgettext --version
xgettext (GNU gettext) 0.10.35

The system is FreeBSD CURRENT.

I have tried placing the gettext and xgettext programs in /usr/bin as
someone was kind enough to tell me, but that doesn't change a thing.

Also, I refuse to use --disable-nls to compile it as this is a persistent
problem which I want to fix, unless someone taps me on the nose and is able
to tell me FreeBSD cannot use this feature.

When replying to this mail, please make sure I am cc:-ed as my mailflow is
too high to actively monitor the lists to see if someone replied, thanks.
