Tried to configure and compile gtk (version 1.1.16) using an uninstalled
version
of glib.  configure went fine but when I typed 'make', I was greeted with
the
following:

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc  -g -O2 -g -Wall  -o testgtk  testgtk.o
libgtk.la

   -L/usr/X11R6/lib                                              -lXext -lX1
1 /glib-1.1.16/libglib.la
                        -lm
libtool: link: `/glib-1.1.16/gmodule.la' is not a valid libtool archive

On inspection, there was no gmodule.la in the /glib-1.1.16 directory.  Did I
do something wrong or is this a bug in either the gtk or glib makefile?
