You need to upgrade to the latest gtk+ (1.1.15 at the time of this writing).
Get it from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/

According to Brian \\" "Bojo\\\\" " Jones:
| I run the configure script for a program I'm trying to install and I get
| the following error :
|
| checking for GTK - version >= 1.1.14... *** GTK+ header files (version
| 1.0.6) do not match
| *** library (version 1.1.14)
| no
| configure: error: Cannot find GTK 1.1: Is gtk-config in executable path?
|
| bash$
|
|
| Not sure what I did this time that was different as opposed to last
| time. Any help is welcome, and thank you ahead of time.
