ugh, that is certainly a personal preference issue, and i tend to disagree
with you here, especially since window's check buttons are circles and that
doesn't at all integrate with the rest of Gtk's look and feel.
so if at all, to not break consistency with the rest of Gtk's look, we
could have this down-arrow-alike check handle within our check button squares
for the depressed state (that i had working for a short time in testgtkrc with
a buggy gtkstyle.c if you remeber ;), but i guess that'd be about it.
