ANNOUNCE: GdkMagick 0.6 PRERELEASE

GdkMagick application developers,

A PRELIMINARY version of GdkMagick 0.6 is available at the GdkMagick home page
(http://home.earthlink.net/~lightmanaj/GdkMagick). Please be aware of the
following caveats before using this prerelease of GdkMagick 0.6:

* The GdkMagick API changed significantly between 0.5.1 and 0.6. This will
break existing GdkMagick-based applications, including the latest version of
MagiCapture. The primary motivation for making this prerelease available is so
that you can preview the new API for use in future applications.

* The test program is currently very broken.

* Most of the new rendering functionality has not been extensively tested.
Expect this code to break under normal circumstances.

* No LSM entry is provided for thie GdkMagick prerelease. 

I will release the official GdkMagick 0.6 hopefully before the end of
December 1999. In the meantime, you may play with this preliminary release, but
be warned that it is far from ready for production use.
