Sorry, it seems Gtk-- 1.0 does not include that change. I suggest you
add the patch yourself, it's really simple. Line 397 in src/base.gen_h 
should read :

  explicit Gtk_ObjectHandle( OBJECT* obj=0, bool owned = true)
