Hi !
I don't know whether this is the right place to ask, because this
is not directly related to Gtk but to Gnome.
I just got, unpacked and configured the gettext-0.10.35 sources
on my Sparc running Solaris 2.5.1. The configure did not report
any problems.
Then I started GNU make.
After a while an error message was shown:
---------
gcc -g -O2 -o gettext gettextp.o ../lib/libnlsut.a ../intl/libintl.a
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file
bindtextdomain gettextp.o
gettext gettextp.o
textdomain gettextp.o
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to gettext
---------
I solved this by adding intl-compat.o to the OBJECTS linked together
to form libintl.a.
Is this the right "fix" ?
Why did configure not figure (no pun) this out ?
Thanks in advance for your reply,
Norbert.
