Could you explain why the KDE license is illigal?
AFAIK KDE is a project, not a program. idem for Gnome.

I don't see exactly what you meant, but it can be misunderstood.
You can use the library for any program you want. ie: you can
write a commercial program linked with an LGPL libarary.
If you _use_ LGPL _code_ in your program (ie: include this code in your
program), your code must be LGPLed.
